Andrea Miller

I completed the  clinical psychology program at UNB under Sandi’s supervision in 2008. From a research perspective, I focused on how clinical psychology graduate students and practicing clinical psychologists develop sexual intervention self-efficacy. Sandi’s instruction ensured that I produced high quality, publishable research. I was able to complete numerous presentations and had five publications during my time at UNB. Clinically, the instruction I received from Sandi directly, and from the UNB faculty as a whole, prepared me for internship and independent practice. Following internship, I immediately found a position at the outpatient child and adolescent clinic at Markham Stouffville Hospital. After two year I decided to transition to working on an adolescent inpatient unit at Brampton Civic Hospital. More recently, after 6 years of working within hospital settings, I opened a thriving private practice where I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families. The education and supervision I received from Sandi and from the UNB program has allowed me choose the clinical settings I want to work in and to feel comfortable and competent in outpatient, inpatient and private practice environments.

Here are my publications:
